Terms of service

These Terms of Sale govern your purchase of products from Comma (operated by Comma, LLC, "we," "us," or "our"). By placing a pre-order or order, you agree to these terms. Please read them, because a pre-order charges you today for a product that ships later.

Pre-orders and shipping timing
Alto is sold as a pre-order. We charge your payment method at the time you place the order, and we ship the product on the estimated timeline shown at checkout (currently October 2026). This date is a good-faith estimate, not a guarantee. Manufacturing and small-batch production can shift.

If we can't ship by the estimated date, we will email you with a revised ship date and the option to cancel for a full refund. If you'd rather not wait, we refund you in full, promptly. You may also cancel a pre-order for a full refund at any time before it ships by emailing us at hello@comma.design.

Pricing and payment

• Prices are listed in US dollars and are exclusive of any applicable sales tax, which is calculated at checkout.
• Payment is processed securely by Shopify and its payment providers. We do not store your full card details.
• We reserve the right to correct pricing errors and to cancel and refund any order affected by an obvious error.

Order acceptance
Your order is an offer to buy. We may accept or decline it, and we may limit or cancel quantities purchased per person or per order. If we cancel an order after you have been charged, we will refund you in full.

Shipping, returns, and privacy
Delivery is covered by our Shipping Policy, returns and refunds by our Refund Policy, and your personal data by our Privacy Policy. Each is incorporated into these terms by reference.

Product information
We work to show Alto accurately, but colors, finish, and exact dimensions may vary slightly because each piece is made in small runs. Minor variation in a bead-blasted stainless finish is a feature of the process, not a defect.

Warranty and limitation of liability
Alto is covered by our 30-day satisfaction guarantee as described in the Refund Policy. Except where prohibited by law, the product is otherwise provided "as is," and our total liability for any claim relating to a product is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect or incidental damages. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.

Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
